Over the last two Saturdays, we have been treated to a ‘taste of Romania’ at St Winifreds Care Home by our very own Depty Manager Milana Braide, who has been cooking up a selection of dishes for us all to try.
We’ve had both savoury and sweet delights;
Fasole, pui and friganele (Green beans, chicken and eggy bread)
Ardei umplut cut mamaliga (Stuffed peppers with polenta)
Tiramisu and Cremeschnitte (Tiramisu and Vanilla slice)
Prajitura cu nuci si ciocolata (Walnut and chocolate slices)
Prajitura cu caise (Apricot slices)
Our residents and staff have thoroughly enjoyed all of these dishes, which have been so tempting to the eye and tasted even better, especially if you have a sweet tooth!
