There was plenty of fun, laughter and delicious treats at our Care Home in Deal this week as residents enjoyed a special afternoon baking club and tea party.
The group got stuck into making cupcakes from scratch, weighing and mixing the ingredients before getting creative with the decorating. With colourful icing and plenty of Jelly Tots to add the finishing touches, the cupcakes looked almost too good to eat – although everyone was very happy to enjoy them afterwards!
The baking was accompanied by a lovely cup of tea and the company of friends, with a favourite television programme providing some extra entertainment.
Earlier in the day, residents had also enjoyed a platter of fresh fruit, making it a wonderfully sociable day filled with good food, great company and plenty of smiles. Sometimes, you simply can’t beat a good tea party!
