What better way to celebrate National Biscuit Day here at our Care Home in Deal, than by baking and enjoying our very own homemade treats?
On Friday 29 May, we came together in our dining area for a fun-filled morning of biscuit making. Our lovely Chef James prepared the mixture, leaving us with the enjoyable task of rolling out the dough and cutting our biscuits into shapes. With heart, diamond and round cutters to choose from, we created plenty of biscuits in two delicious varieties – shortbread and cookie mix.
In the afternoon, we gathered again, joined by family members, to enjoy our freshly baked treats with a lovely cup of tea. We also took part in a biscuit-themed quiz and shared some fun facts along the way.
