Anniversary and birthday treats
We had not one but two wonderful celebrations on the same day last week here at St Winifreds Care Home. Kevin and Sally marked an incredible milestone – their golden wedding anniversary, celebrating 50 years of marriage. On the same day, our lovely resident Tony celebrated his birthday.
Kevin and Sally enjoyed a cosy afternoon together with cake and tea, surrounded by beautiful decorations and special photos capturing their life together. It was the perfect way to honour such a momentous occasion. We all agreed they make a truly handsome couple – congratulations!
Meanwhile Tony was delighted with his delicious homemade birthday cake and loved opening his cards and presents to celebrate his special day. Many happy returns, Tony!

Our residents have also recently enjoyed showing off their skills with some fun games of hoopla. Everyone tried their best to get the colourful hoops over the cones, with lots of concentration and encouragement all around – a great activity for hand-eye coordination.
