We’ve had a lovely week of arts, crafts and games here at St Winifreds Care Home.
On Tuesday 10 November our residents enjoyed making Christmas cards around our lounge table. They created their own designs using a selection of stickers and Christmas cut-outs – from robins to wreaths – gluing their chosen pieces on to their cards. These are now ready to be written for Christmas. We feel very organised!
On Wednesday, we had fun decorating cakes together. We used edible poppies, glitter, icing and flowers to make our yummy treats. After they were decorated, our residents and enjoyed eating them with a nice a cup of tea.
At then end of the week our residents played a game of ‘Who am I?‘, which involved wearing a headband with an item to guess on. Our residents enjoyed giving clues and guessing who they were. Tricker than it seems! They played with our Activities Team and staff members who loved getting in on the fun!
Our ladies and gents spent Recreation and Wellbeing Champion Elsie’s last day before her retirement playing bingo. Our residents love Elsie’s bingo and they enjoyed a fun afternoon with drinks and snacks.
