Carols with the choir
Every month, we are delighted to welcome Minister Pat to St Winifreds Care Home for Holy Communion – always a special time of reflection and togetherness. This Monday’s visit was particularly joyful, as Pat was joined by a local choir who treated us to a wonderful afternoon of Christmas carols.
Their beautiful singing truly set the tone for the festive season and our residents loved joining in with favourites such as ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem‘, ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing‘ and many more.
With colourful Christmas jumpers, a heartfelt reading and Pat’s thoughtful blessing, it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon – filling our Home with music and the spirit of Christmas.
Cupcake creations
This week in our Winifreds Pantry Baking Club, our residents had a delightful time making cupcakes to share with everyone at tea time. From mixing the batter to decorating their delicious creations, everyone got involved and enjoyed the process from start to finish.
There was plenty of conversation and teamwork as we whisked and iced – with a few well-earned refreshments along the way to keep our bakers energised! It was a lovely morning of creativity and companionship.
