Last week at St Winifreds Care Home we were busy creating decorations for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
We printed out some poppy templates and coloured them in, in various colours, and stuck them onto a template of an 8 and 0 to give it a 3-D effect. Everyone had great fun creating these.
We’ve also enjoyed some reminiscence sessions where those who remember D-Day told us some lovely stories about the street parties and cheering in the streets.
We are all looking forward to celebrating this very special day on Thursday 6 June.
