Easter creativity
We are all gearing up for Easter here at St Winifreds Care Home and have made a start on decorating our Home.
Our residents have been enjoying Easter crafts together including colouring themed posters and painting eggshells for mosaic pictures. Everyone has been very creative and we’re so proud of our efforts. Tea and biscuits all around after all that hard work!
A childhood task…
On Sunday afternoon a group of our residents came together around a table to clean brass items. They reminisced about how this was a job that they did as children, and said they found it very relaxing. It prompted conversations about brasses around open fires, and fond memories of making toast with brass toasting forks, and cooking chestnuts on an open fire.
Our brass was super shiny after we had buffed it up so well. Thank you to all our helpers.
