We’ve enjoyed a lovely selection of activities with our residents recently here at St Winifreds Care Home.
On Tuesday 27 October we hosted a tasty afternoon tea, when our ladies and gents all enjoyed some delicious cheese scones, or fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, with a nice cup of tea. This went down a treat and it was wonderful to see everyone tucking in!
We had a fun filled afternoon on Thursday 29 October, when we organised a range of sports events, which included hoopla, tin can alley, darts and dice games, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Our residents had a great time – with a tipple to drink mid way through – and we enjoyed lots of laughs!
During Halloween, Our Activities Coordinators Julie and Jess visited each of our residents for trick or treating, taking lovely sweets for them to enjoy. In the afternoon we cut and scooped out our pumpkins ready for the evening.
On Wednesday 4 November we had a dance to music, with rhythm sticks and big smiles! Our residents and staff really enjoyed the music and singing along to Vera Lynn.
