On Friday 25 September we held a Macmillan Coffee Day at St Winifreds Care Home, in support of the important cancer charity.
We held a fantastic raffle, with a table packed full of prizes including bottles of wine, toiletries, picture frames and sweets.
We also held a ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ competition, using a beautiful cake made by our wonderful Cook Heather.
For the coffee morning itself, we were delighted with our table of tempting cakes and cupcakes which were delicious!
As part of the day, we linked up via Zoom with another of Nellsar’s Homes – The Old Downs – which worked really well at bringing us all together, with our ladies and gents waving and saying hello over the video.
With donations from staff and our residents we raised a wonderful £246.27 for Macmillan.
Well done and thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.
