On Wednesday 4 September we wished our resident Ted a very happy 97th birthday at St Winifreds Care Home.
He enjoyed a visit from his daughter who stayed to have a celebratory lunch with him, and he was delighted to receive his birthday cake and blow our his ’97’ candles.
We asked him what he would like to do in the afternoon and he chose to have a game with all our residents – so we wrote ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY TED‘ and our ladies and gents had to find as many words as they could using just those letters, which everyone enjoyed getting involved with.
Ted commented that he’d had a lovely day and also said a big ‘thank you to all!’
