We were delighted to celebrate the sunshine with a Hawaiian themed BBQ at St Winifreds Care Home last month. Our Home was decorated in bright, tropical colours, with a tiki bar and raffle adding to the fun. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces as our residents and their loved ones came together to enjoy a special afternoon of music, food, and laughter.
Entertainment was provided by Trevor the Travelling Troubadour, who soon had us all singing along and tapping our feet. Some of our residents even took to the floor for a dance, which was a joy to see. The raffle brought great excitement, with lots of lucky winners taking home prizes, and everyone was thrilled when an ice cream van arrived to serve delicious treats in the sunshine.
Our residents and families also embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up in colourful Hawaiian outfits, which added to the vibrant atmosphere. At the end of the BBQ, our residents’ loved ones each received a small gift bag as a thank you for joining us and helping to make the day extra special.
We are so grateful to our wonderful team and everyone who contributed to making this event such a success. It was a truly memorable afternoon that our residents and families will treasure.
