Our Recreation and Well-Being staff member Tina at St Winifreds Care Home has recently set up a singing group for our residents named the ‘St Winifreds Songbirds’.
It’s going down a storm! The Songbirds have regular choir practice and have chosen songs to sing as a group, duet or solo, working hard on their performances.
Tina comments: “I can’t explain just how much joy we all get singing together. We have new sashes which we really love and we are proud of what we do. It’s a great way for friendships to bond.”
Residents who need to stay in bed don’t miss out, as Tina plays them a video in their rooms to sing along to.
A great way to bring some cheer as the nights draw in!
