On Tuesday 12 January, our lovely Marjorie celebrated her 100th birthday at St Winifreds Care Home.
Marj received 38 cards, including a special card from the Queen herself. She was also sent five bunches of flowers and lots of lovely gifts, including a special picture from the Swingtime Sweethearts with Vera Lynn.
Marj enjoyed Skype and Zoom calls in the morning with her friends and then celebrated with a party in the afternoon where we served Bucks Fizz, sandwiches, sausage rolls and her amazing cake!
Friends and staff joined the birthday girl for a fun-filled afternoon of music from the Swingtime Sweethearts.
Marj would like to thank everyone who made her day amazing; she’d also like to thank all our staff for keeping everyone safe and looked after so well during this pandemic.
Many happy returns Marjorie – we’re so delighted you had such a special day.
