We enjoyed the beautiful weather recently with a wonderful afternoon of reminiscing in the garden here at our Deal Care Home. Our ladies and gents gathered together to explore books filled with memories from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, alongside the much-loved Daily Sparkle magazine.
The Daily Sparkle is a reminiscence and activity magazine specially created for older people, featuring nostalgic stories, photographs, puzzles and conversation starters which help bring cherished memories to life.
Our chats took us back to bygone days, remembering when the fruit man and pop man would call along the streets, as well as chatting about vintage fashions, famous film stars and much more. We also enjoyed a few quizzes to keep our minds active.
To round off the afternoon, we cooled down with refreshing ice lollies. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
