We had a wonderful time celebrating Valentine’s Day at St Winifreds Care Home on Saturday, sharing thoughtful moments and sweet surprises throughout the day.
In the morning, we gave out ‘Sweets for my Sweet‘ treats made by our residents, each gift accompanied by a special pocket heart that read: “This heart is full of love and hugs, so keep it close and know that you are loved.” The gesture truly touched everyone and some of our ladies were so moved by the kindness – it was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful small acts of love can be.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed delicious cupcakes freshly prepared by our Chef James, along with a shandy or two! Some residents and their spouses spent precious time together in our softly lit lounge with romantic music playing in the background, exchanging gifts and sharing memories. They told us it made the day especially meaningful.
A truly heart-warming celebration – because after all, all you need is love!
