On Friday 26 August we officially opened our new ‘Activities Hub’ at St Winifreds Care Home, where our residents are free to join us for activities during each day.
Before our grand opening party, we talked about what activities mean to us and the enjoyment we get from them each week. Comments included that activities make us ‘feel anew and alive’, ‘they are a treat’ and ‘make us feel happy and included’.
Two of our ladies cut ribbons to the Hub and we had a tipple of brandy or wine in celebration.
What a great afternoon – we’re all looking forward to using the Hub’s resources!
