Last week we took our St Winifreds Care Home residents on a virtual mini cruise to South Africa to enjoy the sights and sounds of the beautiful country.
We made our own decorations and also had fun making colourful musical shakers and headdresses with our residents. For the shakers we used cardboard tubes, decorated with patterned and crepe paper, and put rice inside for the music! They turned out so well and looked and sounded wonderful.
As part of the cruise, our team members dressed up and we had a great time dancing to African music, using our shakers to join in.
We all had a great week of themed activities; South Africa is such a colourful place to visit.
