On Saturday 12 April our Recreation and Well-Being Champion Siobhan organised a colourful theme day – ‘The Celebration of Spring‘ – here at St Winifreds Care Home.
Our residents helped to decorate our Home with wonderful pictures and homemade daffodils, along with bright bunting, flowers and rabbits – St Winifreds truly was full of the joys of spring! Donning a stunning butterfly outfit, Siobhan treated everyone to a refreshing mocktail of cranberry and orange juice mixed with lemonade.
In the afternoon we were joined by a new friend John Williamson for a lovely sing and dance. John sang favourite hits from the 60s and 70s, including ‘Pretty woman‘ which everyone loved.
John travels to Care Homes and entertains in his own time for free, which is such a wonderful gesture. We all agreed he was amazing and we loved making a new friend – thanks for coming John!
All that singing, dancing, colour and fun. What a day!
