Java Jive
We had such a lovely time on Christmas Eve eve here at St Winifreds Care Home when we were visited by one of our favourite musical duos – the talented Java Jive. Our residents and team members joined in with Christmas songs and popular hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s, singing along and playing instruments.
Rachel and Anthony took their music around to our residents in their rooms too, creating magical moments as faces lit up with joy during their own personal performances.
A huge thank you to Java Jive for bringing so much warmth and festive spirit to our Home – you made our Christmas celebrations truly special.
Christmas sugar cookies
Our Winifreds Baking Club got into the Christmas spirit by making and decorating sugar cookies in festive shapes. From trees and stars to reindeer and gingerbread men, our bakers enjoyed using colourful icing to create cheerful designs.
Once the decorating was done, everyone sat down for a well-deserved cup of tea and a quick taste test, of course!
