What a great way to get ready for Chinese New Year here at St Winifreds Care Home – making our own pretty Chinese lanterns and fans to decorate our Home.
We had great fun rummaging in our craft supplies to find decorations for our lanterns which we crafted out of red card, and also our pre-made fans. We worked hard, helping each other to make the most eye-catching designs – we do enjoy getting messy!
Once our creations were complete, they were put on ribbons and hung in our dining area for all to admire on Chinese New Year; everyone agreed they looked wonderful.
After working so hard it was only right that we relaxed with a lovely cup of tea and biscuits. Well done to all our crafters, we’re all very proud of our hard work.
