We had a wonderful week at St Winifreds Care Home in Deal as we celebrated both Nutrition and Hydration Week and St Patrick’s Day.
Nutrition and Hydration Week (16-22 March) is a yearly campaign that highlights the importance of eating and drinking well to support good health. Throughout the week, we enjoyed a variety of tasty treats including fresh fruit, lemonade floats, ice lollies and colourful mocktails – and everyone agreed it was a delicious way to learn more about healthy choices!
Alongside the treats, we created bright posters and had conversations about the importance of staying hydrated and enjoying balanced, nutritious meals.
As part of the celebrations, we embraced the spirit of St Patrick’s Day by decorating our Home, wearing festive headbands, colouring themed pictures and testing our knowledge with a fun quiz.
