Our residents were so thrilled to receive their Nellsar Cake Off Creative Concept Award last week here at St Winifreds Care Home.
We were presented with a certificate, £50 for our Residents’ Fund and some special Cake Off aprons to enjoy.
Our Bowling Green and Pub/Bar Showstopper Cake entry showcased the lives of three of our residents; Marg who worked in catering all her life as a Marks and Spencer Cook and played bowls in her spare time, Doreen who was a landlady in four different pubs and Barbra who worked in a bar in Spain for many years. Judges appreciated the personalised theme of our entry and how it brought about happy past memories.
We would like to thank everyone for our lovely Award and we’ll look forward spending our prize money on something all our residents can share and enjoy.
