We celebrated Veronica’s birthday on Monday 14 August at St Winifreds Care Home with a small tea party for her.
As Veronica is a Scottish lady, we had traditional homemade shortbread biscuits that she said were ‘almost as good as her mother’s’ (as we had not sprinkled them with sugar!).
We sang ‘Happy birthday‘ to her and presented her with a delicious chocolate birthday cake which she was delighted with. After a little while she returned to her room to enjoy her gifts and cards.
