Trevor the Travelling Troubadour
On Friday 1 September we had our monthly visit from performer Trevor here at St Winifreds Care Home.
He sang a variety of songs which were enjoyed by everyone – he performed for 45 minutes in The Hub and then went to visit and sing for our residents in their rooms, who also had a great time and thanked Trevor for such wonderful entertainment.
Thank you Trevor! Our residents are looking forward to your next visit.
Taster Friday
We now have weekly ‘Taster days’ and on Friday we had some great old-fashioned sweets to enjoy.
To tempt our residents we had humbugs, jelly babies, wine gums, fruit pastilles, jelly fruits, jelly tots and jellybeans.
We also had Liquorice Allsorts; several of our staff team had never heard of liquorice and tried it. Most were not sure about it, but were happy they’d given it a try!
Next week we are looking forwards to trying a selection of different fruits.
