Keeping cool
It was a very warm weekend here at St Winifreds Care Home, so we enjoyed the afternoon keeping cool watching movies together, with refreshments of cool drinks, popcorn, lollies and ice cream.
Everyone fancied something older and a detective movie, so in one lounge we played Colombo and in the other we had Poirot on.
We also enjoyed reading the Sunday newspapers. What a relaxing way to spend a hot Sunday!
John and Ellie
On Tuesday afternoon we enjoyed a visit from one of our favourite couples, John and Ellie.
What a great time we spent with this fun musical duo – Ellie got her tambourine out and she loves it when we join in. We used tambourines, maracas and bells, as we sang and danced along to Cliff Richard and Elvis, to name a few!
Board games
We are delighted with our new board games this week too. Our residents and staff have enjoyed playing games together including snakes and ladders, Ludo and Connect 4. Great for socialising and strategising!
