Rachel and Anthony make up the successful music duo Java Jive and we are very lucky to receive monthly visits from the talented twosome at St Winifreds Care Home.
Recreation and Well-Being Team Member, Tina, said,
“We love Java Jive so much that we’ve asked them to extend the time they spend with us, to do extra when they come, and also to enable them to visit our residents in their rooms. Rachel and Anthony are brilliant; they love to visit and are getting to know us all well, and they’re also learning our residents name. They don’t just sing, they interact with the residents really well and everyone loves to see them.”
Java Jive don’t just bring a sense of fun when they visit, they bring something extremely special. The are skilled musicians and the combination of their varied song list, they’re energy and genuine nature to interact with our ladies and gentlemen, makes for a fantastic time for everyone, each visit. Our residents enjoy making song requests, they love to sing along and get up for a dance! The song “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns and Roses came up once and that played on the violin was very impressive!
