On Wednesday 29 November at St Winifreds Care Home we were delighted to have a visit from the Golf Road Strummers – a local ukulele band made up of 13 talented local ladies and gents.
This was their first visit to us and what wonderful new friends we made!
We had lots of songs to sing along to, including some Christmas classics at the end. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was lovely to hear the ukulele music, which made a pleasant change.
As part of the day we also celebrated Garry’s birthday and he enjoyed being spoilt and receiving his gifts.
What a great afternoon, with some delicious cool drinks and ice lollies for refreshment.
