Java Jive
We’ve enjoyed another great visit from Java Jive recently at St Winifreds Care Home.
Each community within our Home received a visit and those in their rooms did not miss out as they were visited too, for some musical fun. From an old-fashioned singalong, to some Elvis for our Elvis fan, we all had a great time!
Songbirds singing group
We also hosted our own musical Songbirds session when we got out our musical instruments. We sang Vera Lynn tunes and some old-fashioned singalong classics. Our choir members also chose artists to sing to, such as Elvis.
We sang some fantastic show tunes too, sometimes with music, sometimes without. What a great day!
A helping hand
One afternoon our lovely resident Diana helped with the tea trolly, asking what our residents would like. She did a great job and enjoyed herself. Diana always gets a special kind of joy from helping others and pride from being helpful.
