Despite these unprecedented times and the restrictions of lockdown meaning our residents cannot see their families, it’s fun as usual here at St Winifreds Care Home. We continue to remain well, safe and settled and residents enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend.
Cake making
A group of our ladies and gents enjoyed making a batch of chocolate crispy cakes in time for Easter recently – helping to spoon the yummy mixture into the cases. We used rice crispies, chocolate, marshmallows and biscuits, and our residents enjoyed eating them with their tea.

We are very grateful to Bright Sparks Nursery for their kind donations of Easter chocolate for our staff, including boxes of chocolate, chocolate bunnies and diabetic chocolate. They also donated aprons for our staff to use.
Hair by Liz
Thanks to our wonderful Care Assistant Liz, our ladies and gents can still get their hair done at the Salon; and we think you’ll agree they look fantastic! Our resident Lily continued to wear her tiara from her birthday and Gordon looked very dapper after having his hair trimmed.
Singalong with Jess
Our lovely Care Assistant Jess held a great singalong with our residents over the Easter weekend and it was a great way to lift our spirits. She sang many old favourites and our ladies and gents could singalong with the words.
