Our Taster Friday on 29 March fell on Good Friday, so what better way to celebrate at St Winifreds Care Home than with some hot cross buns!
We served a selection including spiced ones, original, and original with chocolate spread. You may not be surprised to hear that the chocolate filled ones were the most popular with our residents and went very quickly!
Keeping with the theme, we decided to sing the nursery rhyme ‘Hot Cross Buns‘; all who took part remembered the first verse, but nobody could recall the words to the second verse!

A couple of our ladies commented how nice it was to see traditions continuing.
