Music with Geoff Dean
One of favourite entertainers here at St Winifreds Care Home, Geoff Dean, joined us on Wednesday 8 November for live music and a puppet show. We really enjoyed singing along and dancing to some well-known 60s songs and many of our residents loved interacting with the furry puppets.
Singalong
We also enjoyed a lively singalong in our upstairs community this week, and one of our lovely residents came up and helped. Our ladies and gentlemen had fun singing along to the music and playing musical instruments while our helper mags jollied them along!
Poppy crafts
With Remembrance Sunday this weekend, we took part in some poignant poppy arts and crafts. From colouring in pictures to making poppy wreaths, we worked hard and we are very proud of our efforts.
Prepping vegetables
Many of our ladies and gentlemen like to help out when they can, and this week, a few of our residents helped out Chef; they prepared vegetables ready for a lovely roast. As we peeled carrots and potatoes, we chatted about roast dinners and the food we liked. It was very heartwarming to work together in this way!
