St Winifreds Care Home residents enjoy a delicious Burns Night

On Monday 25 January our residents at St Winifreds Care Home celebrated Burns Night with a fabulous menu put together by our Chef Andrew.

They enjoyed a wonderful lunch of:

  • Chicken Balmoral – succulent bacon wrapped breasts of chicken stuffed with haggis, served with a peppercorn sauce.
  • Traditional ‘neeps and tatties’.
  • Scottish whisky and toasted oat Cranachan with Scottish raspberries.

We were also treated to some amazing homemade shortbread from Heather in our kitchen, which was scrumptious served with hot drinks and special themed napkins.

Lots of full tummies and smiles all around!
