Ruth’s birthday
On Saturday 24 February we celebrated our lovely Ruth’s birthday at St Winifreds Care Home.
This is the first birthday we have celebrated with her as a resident, but she is not a stranger to our Home; Ruth had been a regular visitor to St Winifreds for many years as a representative of St Leonards Church. She came every Monday to deliver Holy Communion to many of our ladies and gentlemen.
On her birthday we did try to make a bit of a fuss of her, but she chose to remain in her room quietly as she prefers her own company – in her words, “I don’t like too much fuss!”.
James our Chef made her a lovely cake which she said looked like a lovely spring garden.

Anyone for skittles…?
We enjoyed a super morning last week when, after a cuppa, we had some games of skittles in our lounge, with everyone really enjoying it, especially our gents who wanted several goes.
Everyone helped each other and cheered each other on. Great fun!
