What a wonderful week it was! With a visit from Geoff, we enjoyed his singing and puppet show, as well as cooling ice lollies and some garden craft ahead of the Nellsar Garden Competition.
Geoff singalong
Geoff came to sing to us on Thursday last week (11 August) and we all sang along with a tipple of sherry. It was great to see some new faces and we all had a great time singing to some of our old faves, including “My Old Man’s a Dustman”, “The Lambeth Walk” and even a bit of Elvis.
The puppets are back
After a long absence due to COVID restrictions, Geoff brought his beloved puppets back to see everyone again! Those that already knew them were pleased to see them and those whom hadn’t enjoyed make their acquaintance.
Bingo and ice lollies
We enjoyed a game of bingo with some great prizes for both our ladies and gentlemen. And it’s been so hot recently, we’ve been giving our residents ice lollies to enjoy and cool down with.
Garden craft
It’s almost time for the Nellsar Garden Competition to be judged, so we’ve been putting the finishing touches to our garden and finishing off our garden crafts.
