This week our ladies and gents at St Winifreds Care Home have been treated to two different lively musical sessions.
On Monday 29 January we welcomed John and Ellie, ‘Country Blues’, who performed a mix of classic 60s and country music, when we enjoyed lots of singing and clapping together.
Our second instalment of musical entertainment was provided by Geoff Dean who sang a variety of song from the 60s right through to the 80s. We enjoyed the theme tunes from British comedy shows and some residents said that they remembered the shows being on TV and how funny they were. A favourite was Chas n Dave’s ‘Down to Margate’ and several individuals knew the words and joined in – bringing up lovely memories of days spent on Margate beach.
