Around the World with Nellsar Cruises
The ‘Around the World’ virtual cruise has been a big hit with our residents here at St Winifreds Care Home; we’ve finally landed back in England after six months of sailing, and what a journey it’s been! In the lead-up to our final stop we’ve enjoyed making decorations and fruit smoothies, and dancing the hula!
The armchair adventure saw us ‘stop’ in Hong Kong, India, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the Caribbean. Throughout our voyage, we’ve tried new foods and enjoyed themed fun at every destination. Our ‘return’ to England on Wednesday 11 August marked the culmination of the cruise and we disembarked in style!
We were greeted by “Welcome Home” banners, cream teas, cake and entertainment from one of our favourites – Swingtime Sweethearts. We have enjoyed our cruise but we still have to hold on to our hats as we’ve found a time machine and will soon be stepping back in time!
Our residents had the best time!
